I also agree cigarettes cost too much, but I also don't want to quit. I'm a 38 year old single mom. My 16 year old son is also a smoker now. We enjoy our cigarettes very much. I'm concerned that my son Matthew faces a lot of discrimination in the future as a smoker. Do you think the anti smoking efforts may turn around now that marijuana is becoming so popular? I hope so!

Honestly I don't think that the anti-smoking efforts will turn around. I just got finished reading an online article about how companies are reportedly not hiring smokers. This online article goes on to say that companies are losing money (or paying a lot more money in health insurance for those employees that smoke.
They are already charging such a high tax on cigarettes and I even read that CVS will stop selling cigarettes altogether later this year.
I knew we were in trouble when they started getting rid of ashtrays in cars!
